Julie J. Kim, MD, FACS has joined the staff of the Obesity Consult Center (2003) following her services as a clinical fellow in Obesity Surgery (laparoscopic bariatric surgery, Tufts-NEMC). She graduated from Boston Medical Center in June of 2002 in General Surgery. Dr. Kim is board certified in general surgery.

She is a 1997 graduate of Rush Medical College in Chicago. Her undergraduate degree is from Bates College Lewiston, Maine (B.S. Biology).

She is involved in clinical projects and is the author of several book chapters, and journal articles in the field of bariatric surgery.
