Abdominoplasty Surgery

Post-Operative Surgery for Excess Abdominal Skin

Many patients will find that the significant weight losses they experience will leave them with loose skin. While exercise may help in some cases, a significant amount of loose skin will generally not full respond to any exercise or cosmetic treatment.   When this becomes a serious concern, surgery to remove this excess skin may be necessary.

Abdominoplasty addresses the excess abdominal skin or what is otherwise known as a pannus. (The surgery does not deal with the excess skin of the back or flank.)   The operation usually requires an overnight hospital stay and the recovery time is 2-3 weeks.

Interested patients should call for a consultation with Dr. Julie Kim, M.D. Initial visits may be covered by medical insurance. Patients should mention specifically that this is what the appointment is for, so that they may be booked appropriately with Dr. Kim.
